When I was younger, after a meal of Chinese food, my mom would be the first to crack open her fortune cookie. I would beg her to share her fortune with me. She would hold it in her hands, not allowing anyone else to see it, and proudly announce that her fortune was, "You are the smartest, prettiest, best person at the table." She was so lucky to have such a great fortune. It is kind of crazy, because she always gets that same fortune every time we eat Chinese food. Weird.
